How to find the Fest

Chebeauge Island Boat Yard

Chebeague Island, ME

Ferry Options

Chebeague Transportation Co.

The CTC ferry runs from Cousin's Island in Yarmouth to the Stone Wharf on Chebeague. The ferry ride is about 15 mins and there are 7 scheduled trips on Sundays. Although there is a parking lot near the ferry landing on Cousins Island it is often full during summer weekends.  We recommend that visitors park at the satellite lot on Route 1 in Cumberland and take the bus (free) to the ferry landing on Cousin's Island.   The bus leaves the Route 1 lot promptly, 30 minutes before the ferry departure time. Visit the CTC website for directions, schedule, and to purchase tickets.  Parking and ferry tickets are less expensive if purchased online and there is an additional charge for bikes.  The Chebeague Island Boat Yard is about a 2 mile walk/bike ride from the Stone Wharf  where the CTC ferry lands.

Casco Bay Lines

The CBL ferry runs from downtown Portland to all of the islands in Casco Bay, including the Chandlers Cove Wharf on Chebeague. The ferry ride can take 40 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of stops. There are 4 trips on Sundays. The ferry terminal is located at the Maine State Pier on Commercial Street. Visit the CBL website for directions, schedule, and more info. The Chebeague Island Boat Yard is about a 1.5 mile walk/bike ride from the dock.

Chebeague Water Taxi

The Chebeague water taxi can take up to 6 passengers and will pick you up at a variety of marinas and boat landings on the mainland, at your convenience. The water taxi will be running farm tours during the festival from 12-4PM. Visit the website for rates and details and contact Capt. Kevin Wentworth about his availability.

*If you'd like to come straight to the Boat Yard in your own boat, please get in touch with us because there will be limited space.

Transportation on the Island

Plain and simple, there are no ground transportation services on the island. The CTC and CBL ferries land at two different docks on the island, and both are an enjoyable walk or bike to the Boat Yard. That said, we understand that not everyone is mobile or ambitious. If you are in need of on-island transportation, please get in touch with us ahead of time via email and we will help you out.  For those folks, transportation may be arranged for selected ferry arrivals and departures, but to be assured a ride you must contact us before Sunday 7/30 and receive a confirmation.   For those who have  pre-arranged a ride with us we plan to have a pick-up at the 12:15 pm CTC ferry when it arrives on Chebeague and a return drop-off for the CTC ferry that departs at 4:45 pm .  Please be aware that we cannot guarantee you a ride if you have not contacted and confirmed with us ahead of time.
